Humanity’s true moral test
“Humanity’s true moral test, its fundamental test (which lies deeply buried from view), consists of its attitude towards those who are at its mercy: animals.”

You already know that animals are physically abused, mentally tormented, and cruelly neglected in the name of family "entertainment." By now, you also know all about the hideous cruelty to animals that takes place behind the scenes at the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. What you may not know is that Ringling is just the tip of the iceberg.

PETA is currently also investigating a flood of complaints against other operations, like roadside zoos and rodeos, that force animals—including sheep, elephants, horses, bears, and dogs—to live and perform in unimaginably cruel conditions. Some of these lesser-known operations get away with murder because they face little—or no—official scrutiny.

I know that caring people like you will not turn away from the suffering of these animals. Neither will the hard-working team here at PETA. To do so would send the message that animals are ours to torment and that violence against them can go unpunished.

Sounds like the standard PETA brainwash bullshit to me.This person hasn't got a CLUE about how Ringling Brothers treats their animals.
PETA exists mainly to perpetuate its own existance, and pay nice salaries to people who aren't qualified to hold a real job. They raise millions and can't show where it goes...they euthanize(kill) thousands of animals yearly. They dump dead dogs and cats into shopping center dumpsters(look it up,get the facts).
PETA is a useless organization, not needed. The ASPCA and the humane society have been around for years and do a good job.
Do some research on the TRUTH BEHIND PETA. You will be amazed.
